After a 22 year association with Bramham Football Club I have decided with much regret that I cannot continue playing at the club.
I have my reasons for my exit the main one being my idea of football and the powers that be greatly differ.
The lack of respect being the other.
Those people who have stuck the boot in on the touchline and on the pitch today and over the last two seasons shame on you.
I have dragged my family all over the country to play for this club, a club that I have loved all my life.
I have been the most loyal servant this club has ever seen in all its history ignoring calls from much more illustrious leagues and divisions to play for this club.
I am sure the club will be a stronger force with somebody else captaining.

Farewell I wish the majority of the team all the luck in the world.
I am pretty confident this wont get published so I will just have to find another medium to get my announcement across.
A dissappointing end to my footballing career.

Well done today boys if we play like that all season we can go all the way.
I would like to reiterate Smittys comments about the pitch and all the work the three Bramham Legends have done. Lets not think they do it for themselves boys what do they get out of it compared to us?
Its is Deighton on Tuesday night and nothing but 100% will do,they will rightly want to avenge last years double that we did over them.
Lets keep the momentum going lads and take this good start further.

Another season is upon lads,and I just wanted to point out a few things that we as players need to start doing this season if we are to take that next step up and push for honours this season.Richard,Mick & Lenny have put in a massive amount of work behind the scenes this close season to get the changing rooms sorted,and got the pitch looking the best it has since I have been at bramham.So I think it is only fair that we as the players start to re-pay these stalwarts for their hard work & committment by getting Bramham to the top,where the facilities & committment of these Committee members belong.This though can only be done by all the players showing more committment not only on the pitch but just around the club itself.The club has arranged a night out for us in septmember,for 1st team & 2nd team players for what could be a club bonding night,yet we seem to be lacking in people committing to this.The clubs has said that we will train,during the winter months so that we can keep a good level of fitness up and get a good team morale going,but this can only be done if people are committed and turn up,its in our own best interests lads if we want to win things this season.
What Im trying to get at lads is,these 3 people have/are putting alot of work in behind the scenes on a matchday & leading up to a match,so lets all just pull together and help each other out,because they only want what we all want and that is for the club to be successful,but we have all got to pull together!!

Any news on the race meeting at Doncaster next Friday? Is it still on? Hasn't been much information about it...Cheers Tosh

Absolutely over the moon after Saturdays victory boys.
Extremely proud to be part of what was a very well deserved victory.
Lets go out in style on Saturday and forget past results,Saturday is a one off which we have a great chance of winning.
I think the whole league wants us to do this and i know we are more than capable.
Lets make sure we give a good account of ourselves and you will be surprised at the outcome.
I know i am a miserable sod and i get on everyones nerves its just i have been honoured to play in some outstanding Bramham teams, players like Lee Jones, Gary Shooter meant you had 6 or 7 captains out there every week.
I have the honour of leading you out on Saturday against a very useful Thirsk team.
And believe me when i tell you its a very proud moment for me.
And this team we are building at Bramham is as good as any i have played in.

I dont actually remember having a chance on goal yesterday to be honest as the Bramham Front two were constantly being ignored.
I do remember however constantly providing chances for the rest of the team to Waste consistently.
Contrary to the Match Report there was nothing wrong with Bramhams Frontline that a couple of decent passes wouldnt have remedied.
Toothless Midfield and Shambolic Defending cost us yesterday i fail to see what else needed to be mentioned.

Would just like to say,how enjoyable the training session was last night.Dont know how everyone else felt, but that was just exactly want was needed.Was good to have someone there taking the full session.A special Thank You should go to Simon for the way he made it enjoyable but worthwhile aswell.Would be better seeing a few more faces up there aswell.
As we all know every team should train, and it is good to see the club making an effort in such a way that will only benefit the players in the long run.

Just a quick thankyou for all the messages received over the last couple of weeks. Its obviously been a very difficult time for all the family, but my parents have been greatly strengthened by all the messages received from the Bramham area. Stuart was very popular around Garforth but my parents didn't really appreciate how well thought of he was further affield. Stuart played for Bramham for approx 12 seasons and enjoyed every minute. Anybody who has ever played football will know that the lads you play with year in year out allmost become brothers and I know he was deeply upset when close footballing friends left us to soon, you know who I am talking about!!!
He would be very proud of the way the season has started, I know he was a regular visitor to the website.

The attitudes last night were superb.

On behalf of the club,I would like to thank everyone who has put in all the work at the changing rooms to get them up to scratch while we await the permanent building been put up partiuarly Rich, Mick & Lennie who seem to have made it their home since the season ended. I hope this spurs the rest of us on at Bramham to attend pre season training & to ensure both teams get off to a flyer in the forthcoming league campaign.

Well done to Jacko and the lads on finally getting out of division 3 , it was doubly pleasureable and quite ironic to see you go and win promotion at Brafferton after what happened last season . Hopefully Otley finishing 2nd in the 1st division means the first team hold on to their spot in the top division and get another crack at it next season.

i would like to thank every one of the players who played this season. I think that going up was just reward for the season we had. Having 8 men, never having any subs and even having Jacko in goal! Thankyou also to Rich and Jacko who have guided us through the season

well done yesterday to everyone involved with the club, in true Bramham tradition we didnt do it easy but we did it. I think that was the best performance of the season because we started Faster than they did and we got into em. This is the first time that i think we cant be at fault for a slow second half start, they were always going to come at us 100 miles an hour they were in shock at half time. With confidence the way it is at the club we could have ended up easily losing that game and Mark Tasker needs a special mention for two absolutely astounding saves. Well Done Boys Proper Proud.

Well guys whilst I am enjoying being with Jacko and the second team, it was great to get back to watching a first team game. Very impressed with the start when we could easily have turned around 4 up. Conceeded a couple of soft goals then Mark pulled off a couple of saves right out of the top drawer, which would have graced any ground in the land. The winner, an absolute Gem from Joe who has been so impressive in the 2nds this season. Good player, brilliant attitude, chuffed he's in the club! Jason, still a class above anything in this league, and unless my eyes are real bad looks a stone or so lighter, or is it just the new kit that flatters!! Well done lads, much of the football was a pleasure to watch

I have made some slight changes to the player stats.
A player will only receive an appearance if they actually enter the field of play, this will help the reserves when deciding if a player is entitled to play. This only affected 4 player. Myself down 6 apps, Tosh down 2 apps, Joe Farthing & Chappy down 1 appearance.

Hey guys i went to the hospital yesterday and the Dr said i have to take a break from football for 3 months! maybe more. Bit of a killer tbh, but best of luck this season to both teams, from seeing the few matches i have played in and seen though nether of you should have any problems! Fantastic display, special mentions for Nick cravens forward play and a undoubted man of the match performance by Joe Collins, very very impressive. Sorry Jacko, but this lad will get his chance with the first team!! very shortly.

Jay, I note the assists because it is a good way of recognising the TEAM players who create the goals as well as those who score them, everybody knows how many goals you score for the team but very few recognise the assists that you also throw in, I also believe it is a good way of making sure that we don't place to much emphasis on who actually puts the ball in the back of the net which can only help prevent players being greedy in front of goal.

We moved up two positions as a result of yesterdays win, and we could move up another three places if we follow it up next week against Sherwood. Sherwood won an unlikely three points yesterday with a good win against Bedale, maybe Sherwood have found a bit of form!!

Great performance yesterday fellas not a bad man out there, they tried to do the passing game and we broke it up from front to back.
Lets not get carried away and keep doing the things we are good at, just a little comment about lateness i was on the M62 at Huddersfield at 1pm 90 minutes before kick off.

I cannot do anything about traffic and last week at Tate and Lyle i was in Bramham before all of you, but was asked to stay behind for Mark.

People have lives guys i work 70 hours a week every week i am at work now writing this and its Sunday Morning, i work every day except Saturday and even then i work most Saturday Mornings.

i would like to put some praise on the back four yesterday who played very well. the two centre halfs were excellent joe and tosh were infact the best two players on the park. well done joe and nick who played without reward all afternoon

todays game should be a starting to build on it showed what we can do given they werent a great team but again its another win so we can surely do something now we have got a regular team going out and it shows people are starting to learn how everyone plays which means we are starting to build a new team and reference what chubby said about people being late i reckon people being late should be subbed would give people inspiration to be on time unless they have a genuine excuse (maybe not my place to say but maybe an idea) well done to everyone today lets see if we can keep it going and finish somewhere respectable this year and try and get bramham back to what everyone keeps talking about what it used to be

Its easy when a team is winning, its not so easy when your losing, and its times like these that we all need to look to each other for inspiration and support from each other. The sign of a good player and a good team is how you deal with defeat!! Enough said.

Lets face it it i hadnt messed up that one on one we were home and hosed. I think the problem is we have a hell of a lot that talk a great game, what they need to do is just concentrate on doing there job and not moaning at centre forwards for not closing down. if you know anyone who will guarantee 30 goals a season half fit and at least 20 assists then get them down and i will stand with Chubby and watch the debacle that is our defence (Danny Excluded) i have played for this club since i was 15 years old and i have not seen it this bad for a long time. It would be nice to keep a clean sheet against 11 men let alone 9. Please print this Chubby i dont actually blame you

I hope you are joking about looking for a new manager. I think it is about time that some of players stepped up to the plate and repaid some of the faith you put in them. This clearly includes myself. It is silly errors which cost us dearly. This is all over the pitch, not only at the back. Unfortunately when I make a mistake it is so costly and so obvious. Sorry about the second goal on saturday, my hair was in my eyes.

Well done to all of those lads who gave 100% today. We lost the firt half but gave a very creditable display in the second half. It was also nice to see everyone in the pub after the game. Lets hope we are al ready for the big night out next week. Well done today.

Alot of people might be shocked by this ,but count me in ;-)

On reflection i think the point was a well earned point on a red hot day, i think we can take a lot of positives out of the game.

Second team goalkeeping hero Dave Jacklyn will be out of action for several weeks after suffering cracked ribs following a collision with Lindsay 'the plough' Hulme in saturdays 5-4 win at home to Patley Bridge.

Guys lets just forget the game yesterday it was a lesson. At least we had no bitching and everyone ran un til the ninetieth minute.
I think we were beaten by the champions again they were strong in every area except Jimmy Kranky in goal.

I know what you mean. It is an absolute scream, I am gutted I couldn't do it this year. Well done to all those who were involved and I hope to be involved next year, if required.

Had a great 4 days. Hard work but enjoyed every single minute.
Can't do a weekend like that on your own, and it can be a total ball-ache if you don't enjoy the company you are with.
We have all had our grumpy moments but wouldn't do it next year without Taff, Debs, Emma, Mick Sandy, and a special mention for Matty Howgate who was there for every minute of every day (unlike some others) top lad who knew what he had to do and just got on with it.
Lesser mentions for Brian, Barry and then Graham who did there bit for team moral and of course the "mythical" Wendy, who gave me something to look forward to.
Look forward to next year, counting the days already. And to all those who were concerned, no she didn't change the locks but maybe thats only because she would have expected me to pay for it!!!!! But the temperature is god damb frosty.

Hello all just to wish my fellow compadres good luck for the new season i think you will definately do well with the limited conversations i have had with my dad.

Just to update on my position i am currently trying to negotiate with work if i can have Saturdays off but i may be a late edition to the team as i am not coming back unfit. I have not kicked a ball in eight months but suprisingly i feel okay apart from my near death car crash last week (mi dad will fill you in) anyway there it is just dont want to be the forgotten man.I will at least play five or six games so i get the top goalscorer trophy again. ha ha

Can I just confirm that I had not been asked or even know that this match had taken place.

We had 16 training last night, which was a very good turnout, however, not one single reserve team player attended which was very dissapointing. Can we try and have a better turn out on Saturday & next Wednesday

Thanks for the comment Tosh, but I cannot take all the credit, probably not even half. My involvement was to find the venue and report back the options. It was a committee decision to book it and finalise the venue. From me though, I would like to thank Richard for the extra work involved in setting up the venue. Maybe we will book early enough next year and make the £20 a compulsary purchase and take a few £'s each week from players.

Thanks to everyone who had a hand in organising the presentation night , i thought it was the best one weve had and thoroughly enjoyed it. Congratulations to all the winners who thoroughly deserved all the accolades they got. I was a little bit dissapointed by the turn out from the Junior side of the club.

I would just like to say that i was the proudest man alive on monday. It was a true privilage to lead you as captain and i was proud of every single one of you. i would like to thank jacko and ted who make it all possible.

Would just like to re-iterate what Ted said, everyone of you were outstanding on Monday, and did the club proud.What makes it even better was the fact that it was against Bardsey.Lets just hope that the club keep hold of these players & managers so that we can make days like Monday an annual event, for next season and many seasons to come.The club is going in the right direction, but we just need to keep going in that direction now.

Absolutely brilliant against Bardsey lads, every single one of you thoroughly deserved your winners medal.
For the last half hr we had three players carrying serious injuries and all three of you kept going and it was only when Colin had gone past the cant run and reached the cant walk stage that he came off.Like true winners every time we asked for a little bit more you dug deep and found some energy from somewhere and kept going.Hunger,attitude, desire,resilience we saw bucket loads of it on monday and you made a lot of people proud to be a part of Bramham FC.

Heads up lads sometimes it just isnt meant to be , and the Catterick game was one of those times. Our goal has always been promotion and unless Rooney, Ronaldo and of course Stewart downing (stop laughing)turn up for the opposition this goal will be achieved and weve still another final to go so we may pick up a trophy yet.

Ahead of our cup semi-final meeting on Thursday, Spa Athletic became only the second team to take points from Thirsk on Saturday. They drew 2-2 in their last game before the cup match.

At the committee meeting last night the content of recent comments on the guestbook was discussed. Is the top goalscorer at the end of the season just going to be based upon league goals as we have ha a good run in the cups and thats where most of my goals are. If this isn't the case then could you please amend the table so that it shows all goals scored.

Couldn't help but notice Thirsk reserves beat Addingham in division one!! Knowing that thirsk first team game was off I would have been out with the hosepipe if I was Addingham. No rules broken there then!!!

We were pretty poor on Saturday and yet we beat a Hampsthwaite side who were sneaking up nice and quietly into the promotion places.
The condition were awful but we never gave in and kept battling which is a good sign, character , desire, and the fact that we stick together and dont know when we are beat shows we have a good team spirit. It would be nice if we can keep that spirit going for an extra hour and get a few more bodies in the pub after the game , ther was only Me Jacko Col and jacko jnr who went back to Hampsthwaites pub after the game. I know some of you run your own busineses so spare time is at a premium so please dont take it as criticism but if we can get together for a beer after the game that would be great.

We need ideas for this years anual presentation do. Latest suggestion is an all inclusive at the Village Hall.This means we each tip in say £20/£25 we have a buffet and free drinks all night!!!!

55 points will guarantee promotion lads! Although Hampswhaite and Catterick will need to win all their remaining games for you to require that many. Less than 55 required if you take any points off Wetherby and Hampswhaite in either of the games you play against them.

As it stands on March 18th:

Bramhope cannot overtake us but are not yet relegated. If they lose at Pannal on Saturday, they will be down. They can still stay up if they draw but must win their last game and hope Kirkby fail to pick up a point in their remaining 9 games.

Pannal can only overtake us if they win all their remaining 4 games and we fail to take 2 points from our remaining 5 games. If they win all 4 games and we only pick up 1 point they will still have to turn round a goal difference deficit of 29 goals.

Kirkby can overtake us but must at least win 3 and draw 1 of their 9 remaining games.

We can technically finish 3rd if results go our way! Not very likely but the reality is 1 win or 2 draws is enough to mathmatically guarantee survival if 2 teams go down. 1 draw should also be enough due to a superior goal difference but does not guarantee survival.

Ideally, Pannal and Bramhope will draw on Saturday and we will be mathmatically safe from a 1 or 2 team relegation.

Burton Cup - What a match that 95 final was. In those days the Burton cup used to be much harder to win because teams knocked out of the Barkston Ash cup in the first two rounds were also entered into the Burton Cup. Thats where the Uefa cup got its idea from.

Well Bramhams final Claro league game of the season has been put on hold. The goalpost on the Stray belonging to Hampsthwaite United were stolen overnight!

This is a dasterdly deed, and speculation is mounting that there may have been a dawn raid on the Stray to save the leaky Bramham defence from further punishment following the walloping they received at Squirrel the previous week.

Claro Sunday League 2008/9 season

The Committee are currently giving some thought to the clubs involvement in Sunday Football next season.

This season being our first year back has been a difficult one as I unexpectedly found myself taking on the role of Team Manager,alongside Ronnie and at times turning a side out every Sunday has been a real challenge. At this point I want to say thank you to the fantastic support everyone has given to me and Ronnie. We might not have had a great season on the field but the team spirit has been good even if we have at times been a little short on numbers.

We will soon need to make a decision as to next season and I would appreciate your thoughts on the website

Just been looking at the table and i think it is safe to assume the 1sts will be playing in the top division again next season. Keep this run going Chub or they will be rushing Mick out in a bloody wheelchair strapped to a saline drip attached.Talking of Mick can somebody keep us posted on his progress.

Just wondering if there is any news on the above as it all seems to have gone a little bit Quiet on the development front.

Getting away from all the bollocks about todays game i thought it was a valiant effort from the lads but the longer the game went on the bigger the gap got an dthat is not about ability lads it is about FITNESS if we dont train then you have to take it upon yourselves to do a bit, it does make the difference between winning and losing in the tight games like today.

after watching 2nd team i was disgraced by what i saw from 1of the player managers i was under the impressoin that managers should lead by example.

Here we go with my thoughts on this situation....Firstly , Col we are one CLUB , with three teams.....With the situation with Bowdie , I read at one point , the 2nd team management were told not to play Bowdie..Was this brought by the commitee??? Was it because he owed money?

Go back to last year & if player "R" ( No names!!) , had played for the first team , & jacko & ted had said , he can't play...What would Mick have said...I will give you a clue , 2 words...
Why should the first team management tell the 2nd's who they can & can't pick?? Just because Bowdie would not play for the firsts.....Let's just hope we as a club learn from this....We have been thrown out of 2 first team cups & being deducted 3 points for the 2nd's....Come on...Play it by the rules...I for one don't want to play my heart out to be penalised

I'll start the subject off then , ..Undoubtedly , the goal against Hampsthwaits was the best...The keeper in that game stood NO chance....Although having seen said keeper outfield , his movement is very poor in any situation!!!!!

Mick and myself had a look at the pitches today (friday) and both games for Saturday are very very doubtful. The pitches are frozen solid and with no real prospect of the temperature rising enough to thaw them out the matches will probably have to be postponed. We are meeting up there in the morning at which time we will make the decision!!

Where abouts are we playing Pannal Sports this week, is at the Tennis Courts at Harlow Hill, I know it shows that they play up on Killinghall Moor, but The pitch we played on early on this season is better. I would just like to throw a load of praise towards everybody who took part in the game against Pannal on Saturday. We were short of bodies , outplayed for a large portion of the game but we never stopped and eventually salvaged a point in the last minute.
You can have all the talent in the world but without hunger and desire its worth nothing and we have a bunch of lads who want to win so bad they just keep going and refuse to give in.
Special praise to our Capt The Plough who had every right not to even bother turning up let alone cover the amount of grass he did on Saturday or put in as many tackles , a true Capt in every sense of the word.

Hi my name is stuart pearce and i would like to apply for the managers position for your club on sunday mornings.
I am currently working with the under 21s in Holland but i would think i will be unemployed after the weekend and would like to come to a clud where i would be appreciated.

I can give excellent references from Bobby Robson, Graham Taylor and Glen Hoddle which i think you will agree were all fantastic england managers.

I just need a chance to prove that i am not a nonce and can manage at some level.

I also can give penalty taking practice to anyone who needs it, i hear that a lad called rocker took one this year that didnt reach the goal.

Can we keep our eye on Dave Easby for a couple of days. He thinks that following the birth of Baby "Joseph" he has now dropped a further step down the ladder for a starting place in the reserves. Somebody spotted Dave buying a length of rope whilst wearing his scouts uniform clutching a book on knotts.

In response to our faithful leader ted (Tevez, the white Cafu). I Would like to say it has been a great honour to captain you this season. What a great side we turned out be after a S**T start. The faith that jacko and ted showed in you was repaid after some of the performances i saw this season. Just as an instance it was great to see that the disappointment of a 3-3 draw at home hurt as much as if we had lost a final. This is how far we came in the space of the season.I Know that you will carry on next season as you left off and good luck to you all. Once again well done to the firsts who regained the title. If there is any justice you will be put in the league where you belong. Well done

I hope the 2nd team are turning up in there droves for the presentation night its been a hard season but rewarding and it would be nice for Jacko if he could buy you all a drink.
As for those who complain that the 2nd team may sometimes get slightly overlooked (this is a minority that may not even feel this way now) this is a good opportunity for you to represent yourselves and if you cant be bothered then why should anybody else bang the 2nd team drum for you.So get your suit and your dancing shoes on and get to the Jarvis.

well done boys for winning the league, its been a tough long season but very enjoyable. i think we were done by the back log of games we had ending the season having to play 8 games in 2 weeks was always going to be a big ask but we gave it our best & can't complain at runners up in our 1st season in division 1. good luck boys have a sambuca on me.

Congratulations to everyone connected to the club for a very well deserved championship.
It proved that when the chips are down and real character is required the Bramham spirit always comes through.
I think this title is the best one yet as we really didnt look like we were gonna win it after 10 games of season.
Too many to mention individually but the fantastic four Lenny,Rich,Chub and mi Dad must get credit for living eating and breathing football in our village.
Thanks Lads i really wasnt bothered about playing footie this season and not playing in first six games proves this but mi dad kept pecking at mi head to come back and i cant believe i stayed relatively injury free. Thanks to you all for putting up with me.

Well done to one and all on winning the division for the third sucessive season. After a none to clever start to the season, when many were questioning whether we had the team to win the title again, Myself Mick & Richard never lost faith. We knew it would be hard but we always had belief that we were still the team to beat. Although we didn't know it at the time it took 18 wins from our final 22 games to finally see off Albert & Bedale. As you will all be aware there are many changes soon to be happening at our club which will take many many unseen hours of work from the committee, Yesterdays title win will make the work worthwhile and spur us on to achieve our goal. Well done!!

Obviously everyone at Bramham is delighted to have won the 1st Division title for what we believe to be an unprecedented second year, but we feel that three excellent teams playing different styles of football have contributed richly to the Harrogate and District League.

What a fantastic first season Albert have had running two of the leagues best teams right to the wire, they should be so proud of what they have achieved!

We have established a great relationship with our coleagues at Bedale and are sorry that on this occassion they will finsih in 3rd place.

What an excellent club they are. Thank you for your superb hospitality, on a day when things didn't go your way. Your club, Your players and your supporters are a credit to your town and a credit to the Harrogate League.

The team that does win the title will have done it by beating last seasons winning total of 53 points, in fact three teams will have beaten last seasons 53 points. 49 points won it the season before. Well done and good luck tomorow. As you are probably aware the Premier Division title also came down to the last game when we drew with Sherwood which sadly wasnt enough and they won the league by a point. A guess we might see you and Bedale next season. For your info the bottom three last season was Pannal,Beckwithshaw and Pool. The previous season was Beckwithshaw, Harlow Hill and Addingham.Only the bottom side was relegated in eaxch case.

Congratulations to both Bedale and Bramham who have been great competition to us Albert lads this year...

Plenty of banta and some great matches played between the sides.

It is unfortunate that we had to play 5 matches inside 2 weeks at the end of the season but i suppose that comes with doing well in all competitions!

We looked tired last night but cant take anything away from Bedale - they played well and deserved the win - we couldnt score when we had our 20minutes of pressure at the end of the 1st half.

If you do both go up we'll miss the fixtures next year!!

Thank you for watching last night but i'm not too sure about your comments? Firstly do you even know the rules concerning offside? Then for the three penalties, there wasn't more than one pannal player opposing the refs decision on each penalty.
You don't stop there with the blame, i'm not sure but i don't think pannal wanted to lose in the way they did last night, no player or team don't give it their best. So please for the sake of the decent players amongst your set up give it a rest or do the decent thing begin to ref matches. One last gripe out of 37 matches and with a chance to win the title, don't make me laugh ha ha ha, good luck.......

11 years ago we did what we will hopefully do this year , & that is win division 1.Some stats from that year include :
Top scorer (Shock) Jason 49 goals , next a P.Firth? with an astonishing 27 goals ;-o .We used 28 players that year.Most appearances were Jason , Chubby & Jez Wilton with 35 games.An amazing 9 players played more than 30 times that year! The only regular not to score was Dave Westerman , although Col Maltby didn't score in the league!!Just looked at the date & "on this day in history" (4th) 11 years ago we beat Spa to become the first division 1 side to win the challenge cup.Anyway time to get another can of cider :-))

As we move into the last week of the season, its probably timely to thank everyone who has contributed to our website this year. Wouldn't it make sense to deduct a further 3 points from any team that fails to fulfill a fixture. Or even better deduct 3 points from the start of the following season. Does anybody know if you get fined for failing to field a team and if so how much?

The First team have scored 98 goals, 41 of those from Jason Wright. Jason scores an average of 1.7 goals for every game started. He has scored in 22 of the 26 games he has played an impressive 85%.

The firsts score 2.88 goals / Game, The reserves score 2.18 goals / Game.

John Reynolds is still top reserve team goal scorer with 14 goals at an average of 0.58 goals / Game. John scored 9 of his 14 goals in a 5 game period.

Adam tasker has the best reserve team goal/game ratio scoring 0.69 goals/game

Jason Wright & Gareth Hughes share the goal scoring streak both scoring in 7 games on the trot

The firsts average 2.16 points/game, the reserves 1.68 points/game. Anything above 2 is impressive.

Matty Dodsworth has missed just two first team games all season, both through suspension, whilst Titch Craven has missed just one game all season for reasons none football related. Joe Farthing was the most consistant attendee until recently missing a game through illness.

The firsts 8 wins on the trot could not match the reserves 10 wins on the trot.

The firsts have used 36 players whilst the reserves have used 45 players. The club have now used a total of 54 players this season alone.

Ammers came through what proved to be their toughest test of the season last night, on paper it looks quite comfortable but all the players commented after the game on how bramham gave us a real test. In fact for the 1st 20-25 minutes Bramham were the better team, the turning point in the match came when we scored the 1st goal, great piece of individual briliance by number 9, controling the ball on the half way line, turned his marker ran at the defence and lobbed the keeper from about 25yards out.
Bramham still kept going and would have felt a little unlucky to go in behind.

Ammers came out firing right from the off in the 2nd half, and the outstanding russ hodder was starting to run the game, ammers 2nd goal came when Russ slipped in Dempsy and the lightning quick youngster finished off with real class, the 3rd goal was very similar, another through ball put dempsy in and he clipped it past the keeper into the far corner. The 4th goal was another belter from campo, another great individual effort taking on 3 bramham players before rifling a bullet of a shot into the side netting from about 25yards out. Dempsy rounded of a great display for him with his 3rd goal bravely challenging the keeper and roling the ball in the net.

So it looks like we have you boys AGAIN in the cup semi final.
We struggled to beat a poor Horsforth side 4-3 to get there but we're there.

I would just like to say a big thank you to the 1st team players and management for their support at the cup final last night(especially John Carrier), and the people of Bramham who turned out to support us aswell.

I would also like to congratulate every single player who did Bramham FC proud against Harold Styans, i thought we thoroughly deserved our win and hopefully this cup win is the first of many.

Our 1st team is littered with talented players but that win against Pool wasnt just about talent ,2 - 0 down against a team unbeaten @ home to come back and win 3 -2 is about hunger desire and having balls of steel.

Our 1st team shouldnt even be playing in this division so if there is any justice they will go on to win ,for the 2nd yr in a row the 1st division and give the league an opportunity to correct the blunder they made last year and promote them into the premier division.

I havent got many years in at Bramham but i have enjoyed every minute i have been at this club and hopefully will enjoy many more at this great club.

A quick note of congratulation to the club. I know that on Saturday the first X1 played in a truely commanding fashion, as we are capable of. The opposition, bless them, didnt know what hit them. They were so lucky to only conceed 4 and we ought to continue to stamp the 'Bramham way' as hard and effectively as possible into this league. The second X1, sound like a prize posession to the club. Great ability present, good attitudes and excellent results. Not to mention the dedicated, hard working management and other members of the club. Sermon over. Bramham seems once again to be represented by lads whom other players are apprehensive about playing. Well done the Bramhamers.

We need to get our heads out of our arses for the weekend. As Tasker said at the weekend saturdays match was Cattrick's cup final. We took our foot of the gas and we were punished.Ref aside we cant blame anyone but ourselves. Yes the two decsions were shocking but we carry on. We have to start playing as a team and playing as if all the refs are against us. Other teams contest everything and at our standard its usually a case of who ever shouts loudest. Heads up lads.

A game which i might add was called off (BY THEM). how are we ment to prepare a team for a final when anyone of the players could be injured?. Really proud of all the lads in the 2nds this week, even when we arent playing our best stuff we still have enough quality to get the desired result,well done every single one of you.

Great win for our 1sts aswell who quietened any doubters on saturday with a gutsy win on a difficult pitch.

Its a pleasure to be involved with this club and lets hope the good results keep coming.

Good wins for both teams this weekend, nice to see Bramham winning games, especially the 2nd team as we were lacking a full squad and we played crap...lets continue the run and head for promotion...

May i just take this opportunity to apologise to my old pal Tosher.
As you can see by the date of the message i was still very pissed off mainly with my own performance.

I know most of it is harmless banter but i am a big believer in keeping out the neighbours if you know what i mean.

The main thing is both teams having a common goal, enough people have got it in for Bramham without us airing our wasing in public.

Fantastic to see the 2nds rack up another victory and with Josh and Brett making storming appearances for the 1sts recently it just shows what a phenomenal crop of talent that is coming through and what a great job Jacko and Ted are doing.

Also quick mention about Mick Fox and what a great servant to the club he has been, oh and we need to keep those hot dogs on mate they were awesome.JW

For those of you who still may not know, we are playing Thirsk in the semi final of the cup this saturday.

Hopefully we will win and have a chance of a 1st trophy for the second team by winning the final.

However if we get beat lets make sure its because of our performance on the day and not because a few of our players got shitfaced on Friday night and and played with hangovers.

We've had quite a bit of banter on the website this week about the performance at Albert and I have published it on the basis that we are all one club and that I firmly belief everyone genuinely is pulling together.Criticism however lighthearted can take a bit af swallowing after a bad result, but I think everyone in the club was choked with last saturdays result. I Played for Boston on sunday against wetherby. The team alot of them i recognised from early on in the season. If that is the standard that we have to match in order to win this league then we should catch them and finish top. The crop of players that we have at the club along with the team sprit we should at least push them all the way.
Booker you better pull your finger out on saturday a team needs more than one centre mid fielder.

Chubb i think that i have paid my fines i gave my money to ted in the white horse after the bookings. I thought the second booking was harsh as i only just touched the player. Any way Ted told me to do it. Whats a man meant to do when the management team shouts "HACK HIM! HACK HIM!" To me ted is a sort of Man who decides the fate of numerous counter parts by a simple thumbs up or thumbs down much like ancient rome. Only kiddin! For any parents interested in bringing their children down to the club its nothing like rome,........ It was much more civilised back then!

I can't play this Saturday but will be there to watch. Did the t'old hamster in on Sunday and seeing as though they are not very good i thought i would miss this weekend to recover so that i am fit for future weeks. By the way did you see that finish on Saturday!

Just a little note to the lads. I was disapointed on saturday with the performance.Collectively as a team with really were slack. I hope the lads dont think that im getting on at them, but with the high standards been set every game i have have come to expect this week in week out. I want to win and its as simple as that. When i have a go on the pitch it is nothing personal, and if you think im a t**t fair enough i just hope a little of what i say sinks in. I think i played from 93-96 or there abouts,got promoted 2 years on the trot and won a few cups.Never forget that cup we won at Dishforth when Kevin Elliott got a smack from one of their guys on the sideline,ive still got the photos,what a peach of a black eye !! Im living in Sydney,Australia now,married with 2 kids,Brooke(2 years) and Lachlan(5 months),i was in Bramham Sep 03 in the White Horse having a pint with Watto and the boys then went onto go drinking with big Chris Conway in Wetherby,Back in Bramham Sep 08.Jason good to see youve still got it mate.I,ll never forget the only time you got injured your old man replaced you with me upfront and i went onto score 8 goals in one game,i think it was against some mob caled St Johns or something,you came back the following game and i went back on the bench !! What time meet is it on saturday and who was this lad coming over from manchester for saturdays game. We don't have anyone from that far out do we?

Just as an observation we dont seam to have "The Luck" as other clubs have in our division. I mean in terms of the decisions going favourably towards the clubs involved. Whereas we seam to get the rough end of stick. Is it something that we are not doing or something that we have done in the past?. I am not pointing the finger at anyone in the club as i think that you all do a fantastic job. But it seams that some clubs seam to get everything they put in for.

With Yorkshire Amateurs cancelling our game on saturday and failing to tell either ourselves or the league am i right in assuming we will pursue & do we expect to get the points awarded to us,or is it only teams that get games cancelled by Bramham who get the points.

Please can you confirm where the £8 it says I owe is from cos Im sure I paid everything I owe and the last I heard, this was confirmed by Jacko.

I know that we cant help the weather & Conditions of the training area, but we haven't trained for nearly 6 weeks,and if like everybody says in the club we want to win things and progress up the leagues, then dont we need to train? When we have held training sessions up at the ground we have only been getting a handful of people! Why?I think it is down to the training area. I dont want to sound as though Im trying to cause unrest in the camp, I would just like to see the club holding a training night,I as much as anyone would like to see Bramham FC in as a high a standard of football as anyone, and training regularly would only enhance our chances of this.I was fortunate enough last season to be able to attend a few training sessions which were held up at Tad Grammar which were very well attended, so would it not make sense to try this again, and then maybe more people may turn up to training if they knew it was going to be on and that they wouldn't be wasting their time going to a training session which consists of 6 people(1 of which is Chubb)!

I have been looking at the X Factor and i dont doubt that the kid has some sort of talent. However i think that his talents would be more at home with a group maybe say a close group perhaps............. JACKLYN 5 with his father behind him to keep him on the right path. Danny providing the looks and the gay following. Young jacklyn as the dancer and Debs as the Hot female to provide the male fans with something to drool over.All nick has to do then is sing. I would like to say that i was proud of the team on saturday. The team is playing for each other, Passing well and no one gets on anyones back. I have just been reading the big debate on the bramham devide. In My opinion both management teams do an excellent job at the end of the day we are BRAMHAM FOOTBALL CLUB. It is one of the Best clubs to play for round here.

If you go to your car on a saturday night and you find a plump grey haired man sat in the back of your car do not be alarmed it is only Ray Hick.
Go into the pub buy a pint of Johns give it to Ray & when he has drunk it he will vacate your car to take his glass back to the bar .
Under no circumstances talk to him or he will bore you to death telling you all about the goals his son scores for Bramham.
Check the seat before you let your kids get in the back as he has been known to wet himself with excitement as he digresses to childhood and he thinks the owner of the vehicle is going to take him to Scarborough to drive a bumper car.

It was good to get down to Boston on Saturday and watch a bit of the second team match against Pool.Really impressed with a lot of the young lads who are coming through.Particularly good to see them passing the ball around and not just lumping it up the field.Future looks fantastic!

When Ripon came to play the 2nds this weekend not only did they have a first half perfomance by ourselfs to have a good laugh about, but in the second half when we starting to look like a team the stand in captain lost his dummy and stormed off the pitch. I can't believe a senior player would set that sort of example to the younger generation.

Well, Chubby's bang on right about signing on fees. If you haven't paid cough up now. Its not fair on the guys that pay up on time when others have to be chased up week after week. We have a committee meeting on Tuesday and as as far as I'm concerned if you haven't paid then you don't play.

The committee is really trying to take this club places and you will all have seen the progress we have made with the changing rooms. We are committed to improving the pitch as well and you will have seen the arrival of the roller from Preston and the gang mowers which we got from near London.We will look all over the country to bring in what we need to make things better for all our teams

Alot of people will be surprised at me bringing this up but...I wondered if anyone had thought of the club having a christmas 'social gathering' ?? Years ago we had regular ones , but we didn't have one last year...Maybe after the cup games on the 16th??...Any thoughts??

Christmas has come early for Bramham Girls with the great news that insperational skipper JESS WILSON will be back playing in the new year. Jess broke a couple of bones in her wrist at the begining of November when she fell awkwardly under a heavy challenge. Medical reports were that her season was over, however after her latest visit to the hospital (29/11/06) for more treatment under general anastetic her medical team have announced that she has responded so well to treatment that she will now only need a light-weight cast for a further 3 weeks. Speaking to Jess last night she told me that she "will be back playing in 3 weeks and 1 day" what a great attitude. Unfortuneatly Jess will have to wait a little longer as we will be in the Christmas break. Looking forward to your return.

i am just asking for the rules of the golden goal the be put on the web site please as i asked the ref what time the first goal was scored and he replied 11 minutes from this i should have won the golden goal but we are now informed that the rules have changed
