Reserves Lift Activ 8 Trophy
05 May 2008

After the disappointment of losing out in the Spa cup what a proud day it was for Ted and Jacko's boys as Lindsay Hulme lifted the Activ 8 cup.

The depleted Bramham troops arrived at Tadcaster reeling from their defeat against Catterick, but they showed tremendous spirit to dispose of Barsdey who's senior side had won the County cup just 3 days earlier.

From the kick off Bramham looked up for a battle, as they chased everything down and never let their opponents settle. Hick broke the deadlock on 8 minutes turning in from 8 yards after a goalmouth scramble.

Bardsey had the share of the possession but were restricted to long shots and Ratcliffe in the Bramham goal was rarely troubled.

Dowson broke away on the half hour mark, tore in from the right flank and smashed the ball passed the helpless keeper from 20 yards out, to give Bramham some breathing space.

In the second half again it was Bardsey with much of the play but Bramham looking menacing on the break and they should have gone further ahead missing several good chances.

Jacko's men never looked in danger of losing this final and deservedly took the trophy back to Bramham
